British tourists struck up a unique bond with their Kosovan taxi driver, taking him on every adventure during their trip. Yash Bhatia, an ambitious globetrotter from Leicester, has already visited 55 countries at the age of 21. On reaching Pristina, his latest stop with friends, they hired Ragip for what was meant to be one ride.

But his company was so delightful they kept him for their entire three-day stay, shelling out £200 plus tips for his company. Besides earning well, Ragip got to experience attractions alongside the group like the Four Paws Bear Sanctuary , various pubs and restaurants, hikes, and even shared pizzas priced at £2.50.

Reflecting on their experience, Yash said: "We met him in the middle of Pristina and asked him to show us around and he kindly accepted." Yash recalled: "One of the first things that we did was we went to the bear sanctuary. They had 20 bears which were all rescued. "We spent a lot of time with the bears, and I would say Ragip [the taxi driver] is a cuddly character.

" The group's camaraderie with their taxi guide grew as they sang karaoke together and indulged in local cuisine in Kosovo, creating memorable holiday tales. Sign up for FREE to Mirror Travel and discover dream escapes, latest travel advice and more JOIN OUR WHATSAPP GROU.
