Kylie Jenner has impressed fashion fans with her appearance the CFDA Awards in a black gown from Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture by Haider Ackerman. The event on Monday was held at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City to celebrate style, innovation, and timeless elegance. As well as 27-year-old Jenner, celebrities such as Blake Lively, Addison Rae and Katie Holmes were also in attendance, with Wicked star Cynthia Erivo hosting the event.

Jenner stood out from the crowd in an all-black textured ensemble made up of feathers and spikes, which also featured a structured bodice. The reality star and beauty mogul paired the monochromatic look with black heels and soft smoky glam. Instead of her usually long hair, she completed the look with a sleek and blunt ponytail.

The dress is look 35 from Gaultier's spring/summer 2023 couture collection. That season, the iconic fashion designer invited Ackermann to be a guest designer, who put his own spin on the Gaultier aesthetic. This decision saw tailoring and draping take center stage.

Newsweek emailed a spokesperson for Jenner for comment on Tuesday outside of normal business hours. The look is reminiscent of the ballet film Black Swan and according to the publication Marie Claire , feathered skirts are set to become a fall 2024 trend. Jenner shared behind-the-scenes photos and videos from the night to her Instagram with the caption : "night at the museum for the @cfda awards in @h.
