Monday, January 27, 2025 Kuala Lumpur celebrates Chinese New Year as Malaysia Airlines adds 102 red-eye flights, boosting festive travel to Sabah and Sarawak with a special send-off. Malaysia Airlines ushered in the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations with a memorable send-off ceremony for two special red-eye fixed-fare flights at KLIA Terminal 1. The event was honored by the presence of Malaysia’s Minister of Transport, Yang Berhormat Tuan Loke Siew Fook.
During the ceremony, YB Loke addressed passengers preparing to board flights MH7414 to Tawau and MH7436 to Sandakan at their respective boarding gates. He shared heartfelt wishes for the festive season and personally distributed exclusive goodies to mark the occasion. Joining him were key figures, including Dato’ Jana Santhiran Muniayan, Secretary General of the Ministry of Transport Malaysia; Datuk Captain Izham Ismail, Group Managing Director of Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG); Captain Nasaruddin A.
Bakar, Chief Operating Officer of Malaysia Airlines; and Dersenish Aresandiran, Chief Commercial Officer of Airlines (MAG). Both flights departed on schedule at 11:00 PM and 11:30 PM, respectively.
