Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) is set to significantly enhance its dialysis services by acquiring 30 new machines by the end of the year, according to Mustapha Salifu, the hospital’s public relations officer. In an interview on the Asaase Breakfast Show on August 14, Salifu provided an update on the procurement process for the new equipment. He emphasized that while the machines are still in the procurement phase, their delivery is anticipated by year-end.

“The 30 new dialysis machines are not currently at Korle Bu,” Salifu explained. “They are in the procurement process, and we are also securing consumables to last for a year.” Salifu assured patients and the public that the hospital’s existing stock of consumables is adequate to meet current demand until the new machines arrive.
