Quoting the doctors from New Delhi’s Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL), a CBI officer privy to the agency’s probe into the 31-year-old doctor’s rape and murder, said Roy, a civic volunteer of the Kolkata Police, has an “animal-like instinct”, and showed remorse for the crime he allegedly committed, PTI reported.

“The man showed no repentance and narrated the entire episode giving every minute detail without hiccups. It appeared that he had no remorse,” PTI quoted the official as saying. Notably, following his arrest in the case, the Kolkata Police had discovered a boatload of “violent” pornographic content on Roy’s phone.

The cops had described the porn content as “something not consumed by regular people”. Roy’s phone was later seized by the CBI after the central probe agency took over the investigation of the .
