Published: September 8, 2024 9:18 AM IST By in the latest development in the Kolkata Rape and Murder case in which the 31-year-old female trainee doctor was brutally raped and murdered at RG Kar medical College and Hospital in Kolkata on August 9, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) told in the court that Dr Sandip Ghosh, the former principal of the hospital twisted the process of recruitment and to appoint doctors of his choice. Further, the central probe agency also accused Ghosh of granting RG Kar hospital’s contracts to his friends in violation of rules.

Kolkata Rape and Murder Case: Sandip Ghosh’s ‘Lavish Bungalow’ Under Scrutiny Sandip Ghosh, the former leader of Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, is currently held by the CBI on suspicion of financial irregularities. His opulent home is now under the scanner of the Enforcement Directorate (ED). On Friday, a series of raids were carried out at several locations related to him in West Bengal.
