First person historical role-player Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will not be released this year, but it does have a new release date. Although delays have become less prevalent since the end of the pandemic, when a game that’s due out relatively soon goes for months without any kind of new reveal, it usually only means one thing. So it is that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is confirmed to no longer be a 2024 release, as developer Warhouse Studios announces a new release date of February 11, 2025.
The game will still feature at Gamescom next week but according to Warhorse, ‘We aimed for the end of the year and almost made it – almost is not good enough though, so we slipped to 2025.’ The delay was rumoured on Wednesday evening and Warhorse quickly put together a video to confirm the news, even though the game had never been given a specific release date – which is also never a good sign. Gamescom will see the release of a 20 minute long gameplay showcase and news about a Collectors Edition, so Warhorse are clearly still hoping next week will be an important moment for the game.
