There was plenty of speculation after Queen Elizabeth II died and Charles became the king about what Prince Andrew ‘s life in the royal family would look like going forward. Because the Duke of York has not been a working royal for years he was never a part of King Charle s’ slimmed-down monarchy and has no official role in the family at all anymore. But Andrew was still enjoying plenty of royal perks including living at a sprawling 31-room mansion in Windsor and having his brother foot the bill for one important thing that has now been cut off.

Here’s what that is and what message it sends to Prince Harry. What King Charles did to Prince Andrew has to do with Prince Harry Andrew’s publicly-funded security was stopped after he stepped down from his royal duties and had a civil sexual assault lawsuit brought against him. Therefore, Prince Harry didn’t have an argument about any non-working royals being able to keep that protection from the Metropolitan Police.

The Sussexes lost their royal protection just like Andrew did when they stepped down. However, Harry could question why his father was still paying for his uncle’s 10-person private security team at Royal Lodge especially since Prince Harry thinks his father could help him out more than he has. Well, the monarch is no longer doing that.

According to a new report from The Sun , the king is laying off Andrew’s entire private security detail team at Royal Lodge as he did not renew their contracts which expire .
