Kiko Kostadinov and ECCO have teamed up for their second and final collection, immersing their cult following in a slick, space-age fantasy titled ‘Hypatia’. Founded in 2016, Kiko Kostadinov approaches its designs with chic functionality, a future-facing attention to detail that results in some of Fashion Week’s most sought-after pieces. For ‘Hypatia’, Melbourne sister-duo Laura and Deanna Fanning route back to 350AD, referencing the Egyptian philosopher, astronomer and mathematician across a series of deluxe footwear, garments and accessories.

Inspired by ECCO’s fascination for geometry, the pair draw together a collection that revolves itself around retro-futurism, technology and pop-culture. In turn, the Danish shoe brand incorporates a bubble-like soul with curvilinear lines, reflecting on classic, Mary Jane silhouettes and moon-trodding boots. Pops of reds, chartreuse and metallics make up the tag-team’s latest work, utilising soft nubuck, satin mesh and leather textiles throughout.

Elsewhere the partnership brings forward a string of structured handbags, bringing a vintage edge with its stark, contrast detailing.
