However, Leigh is not one to be tempted by the jungle or the Big Brother house, as he candidly told fans: "No way. They did ask me, though. I took the meeting and they were nice people but I just don't want to do it.
" He even recalled how back in 2006, when approached for Big Brother, he had a strong reaction, telling his agent: "No chance! I'd rather rip me eyes out." Despite his flamboyant on-screen persona, Leigh's personal life is much more low-key. He and Jill, a beauty therapist who shies away from the spotlight, got hitched in 2002 in picturesque North Yorkshire, reports the Mirror .
The couple are proud parents to two daughters, Matilda and Dolly, and while Leigh may be the life and soul of the party on TV, at hom.
