Labour leader Keir Starmer has revealed his strict rule for his two children as he admitted they are "worried" about him potentially becoming Prime Minister. Starmer will be hoping to win next week's General Election and paid a visit to ITV's This Morning as part of his campaign trail. He appeared on the daytime show where he was interviewed by hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard .
They kicked off the chat by speaking about his recent visit to see Taylor Swift perform at Wembley Stadium alongside his wife and children. Keir is married to Victoria Starmer, who is called Vic by her husband and Lady Vic to their inner circle. She is mother to their two children, a 15-year-old boy and a daughter aged 13.
Keir shared having time with his family was "brilliant" and "really relaxing" as he's been away from home campaigning. Opening up on his family life, Keir shared: "We took the decision we would keep them as protected as we possibly can." They have made sure no photos have been taken of their children and their names have not been shared publicly.
He admitted: "I want them to be able to walk to school as their own people and do as normal things as they can. It is really hard, but just to give them that space to live their own lives." He added: "For 13 and a half for our girl and 15, nearly 16 for our boy - these are really impactful times.
We are trying to make sure they can have the lives of an ordinary teenage girl and boy. It is tricky. One thing we do lose on is that people don'.
