Pals of Katie Price say the bankrupt former glamour model fancies herself a jail stint so she can rake in more dough with interviews and potentially a new book deal. This week the 46-year-old was arrested at Heathrow airport and driven off in a police van having failed to appear at a scheduled bankruptcy court hearing - instead the mum-of-five jetted off to Turkey for a facelift. Now sources say the published author views her life as a "soap opera" and thinks jail time could add to the storyline.

One told Katie had "bragged" that "jail “would be lucrative for her career". They reported that , who has released eight autobiographies, felt it would provide material for another. "She seems to see it more as a career move than a punishment.

In her eyes, it will give her material for a book and a documentary series inside women’s prisons.” Katie was declared bankrupt in November 2019 and again in March this year. The mother-of-five had been explicitly warned that she could face arrest if she did not attend the most recent hearing.

She's also been ordered to attend a new date. An arrest warrant was issued for the mother-of-five, Katie Price, after she failed to appear in court on Tuesday, July 30. She was scheduled to provide evidence regarding her financial situation at a specialist bankruptcy court in London and was arrested on Thursday (August 8).

Taking to social media while still in Turkey, Katie said she hoped authorities would "allow [her] some dignity" in front of her .
