The Prince and Princess of Wales have interrupted the last days of their summer holiday to send a rare personal message. The couple spent the past weekend at Balmoral on their annual trip with the rest of the Royal Family and are enjoying their last few days together before Prince George , Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis head back to school next week. However, today they took the time to take to their official social media accounts this morning to wish Team GB's Paralympics team the best of luck as the Paralympic Games kicks off in Paris this evening with the opening ceremony.

The couple quote tweeted a post on X by Paralympics GB, the official team of all Great Britain and Northern Ireland athletes competing in the Games, which read: "It's today #Paralympics". And in response, William and Kate said: "Looking forward to another few weeks of incredible sport! Wishing the very best of luck to our @ParalympicsGB athletes and all those competing at #Paris2024." The post was signed off by W&C, which denotes it is a personal message from both William and Kate.

The couple were at the Paralympics opening ceremony in London in 2012. The Prince and Princess of Wales are huge sports fans and although they didn't travel to the Paris Olympics earlier this month, they released a video congratulating Team GB competitors. The clip saw rapper Snoop Dogg start and finish the video from the Prince and Princess of Wales, which also included messages from other celebrities including David Bec.
