Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway has been through the mill following the tragic death of her husband Derek Draper . The 57-year-old star, who is a mum of two, was by her late husband's side throughout his illness caused by contracting Covid in 2020, until his death in January this year. But a few months on, Kate has shown that she is starting to rebuild her life following the devastating passing of Derek, by spending a day with her daughter Darcey at Wimbledon.

She shared with fans on Instagram : "Thank you so much to @vodafoneuk for the best mum & daughter’s day @wimbledon. We haven’t spent the day just the two of us for years - so many giggles! The tennis was sensational too - huge congrats to the brilliant @bkrejcikova for her spectacular win & @jasmine_paolini for battling every point for the most gripping final. #perfectday #gratitude #makingmemories @run57 year oldraggeduk #lucky #special.

" And it didn't take long for fans to comment on her post. One person said: "So lovely to see that beautiful smile Kate! So good to see your daughter with you and a credit to you both. Derek would be looking down, thinking how well you’re all doing and sending his deepest love.

Making new memories without him like Wimbledon with your." Another person said: "So glad you had a lovely day together. She is a real beauty Kate, just like her Mum.

!" Meanwhile a third added: "Beautiful mother-daughter special time to have together. Priceless." Earlier this week, it was reveal.
