Karishma Tanna While in Delhi for a day to walk the ramp for Delhi Times Fashion Week (DTFW), Karishma Tanna shared that she loves wearing saris. She shared, “Sari is my favourite attire, I have been wearing it since childhood and when I wore it for the first time it was in school. It was my mum’s sari.
I participated in a play and was playing the role of Indira Gandhi . To drape that sari was difficult with too many pins to tuck in and I cried, ‘mama don’t make me wear it.’ But when I wore it I looked so pretty and got so many compliments that after that I always looked forward to wearing a sari.
Since then I have forever been a sari girl.” She added that the most loved pieces in her wardrobe are the two saris that she got from her mother. “I wore it last year on Diwali.
It’s a simple silk sari and my mum used to wear it a lot. I love the colour. I love pastel shades , either it is black for me or pastel shades.
I have two saris from my mum and I have retained them as they are, I wear them as often as possible,” she added..
