In March, the gossip mill was strife with rumours that Bollywood’s Bebo, aka, Kareena Kapoor Khan is all set to mark her debut in the south industry. During a fan interaction, the actress let slip that she “might be doing a very big South film” and was quite excited that it would be her “first time doing this.” Soon speculations began that the actress may have been roped in for a role in Yash’s 19th film, Toxic.
As per a recent rumour, it might not be Toxic. In the recent past, actresses like Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Janhavi Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Ananya Panday and even Bollywood stars like Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt and Saif Ali Khan have been venturing into the south industry. The latest actress to have joined the list might be Kareena Kapoor Khan, per her fan interaction.
There have been no confirmation reports from her side regarding signing up Yash’s Toxic. But as per unconfirmed reports, the actress may have lost the opportunity and to make up for it, she is gearing up to star in a big-budget project. After marking her debut with Refugee in 2000, Kareena Kapoor Khan is one of the top and bankable actresses in India.
Be it content-driven films or commercial ones, the actress has been busy belting out hits. In 2023, she starred in Jaane Jaan, In 2024, she starred in The Crew and The Buckingham Murders. She has also begun shooting for her upcoming film, Singham Again.
