Bollywood actress Kajol is celebrating another year of life today and a career that continues to defy age and genre boundaries. With four diverse projects in the pipeline, the actress is proving that she is far from slowing down. Her upcoming film, Maa , marks a significant departure from her usual roles.

Stepping into the horror genre for the first time, Kajol admits to being "scared crap out of" herself. Kajol speaks about being ‘scared’ while shooting horror film Maa; calls Sarzameen co-star Prithviraj Sukumaran ‘wonderful’ and describes Maharagni as ‘out and out commercial film’ In an interview with Variety, Kajol said that the film with Vishal Furia is more than just a horror flick. “It’s a psychological drama with elements of thriller and suspense,” she explained.

Collaborating with director Vishal Furia, known for his work in the genre, has been a positive experience. “He’s a fabulous director, and you have a great time working with him,” she enthused. The film is produced under Ajay Devgn’s banner Ajay Devgn Ffilms.

The actress will also star in Sarzameen , a mystery thriller that explores the complexities of relationships and love. The film marks her first time working with Prithviraj Sukumaran and marks the debut of Ibrahim Ali Khan. “I’ve worked with Prithviraj [Sukumaran] for the first time and he’s absolutely wonderful to work with and so was Ibrahim [Ali Khan], so I think it’s going to be quite interesting to see both of them on.
