In a recent interview, the Dune star acknowledged that things “didn’t work out” and commented on reports that Kyle Chandler is in talks to play the superhero role. “You know what? Green Lantern didn’t work out, but that’s okay,” Brolin said in an interview with ComicBook .

“It’s working out. Who is it going to be, Kyle Chandler? I love him as an actor, I think he’s wonderful, actually. And, you know, we’ll see what’s down the line, man.

” Deadline reported that Chandler was in talks to play Hal Jordan , the same character Ryan Reynolds played in the 2011 film Green Lantern .
