ROCHESTER — Once again, Abi Tri can stake the claim of the best female runner in all of Rochester. On Tuesday, the John Marshall High School sophomore dominated the Rochester All-City Championships for the second consecutive year, finishing first with a time of 18 minutes and 44.1 seconds at Century High School.

ADVERTISEMENT The No. 5 ranked runner in Class 3A finished nearly 90 seconds ahead of second place finisher and sophomore teammate Aaliyah Ranstrom (20:13.3).

Century won the team title with 25 points after witnessing its top five runners finish third through seventh overall. Senior Jazzlyn Hanenberger (20:22.2), who won the title in 2022, finished third, followed by senior Sophia Comfere (20:34), freshman Stella Zoller (21:15.

5), senior Sophia Trabuco (21:22) and freshman Ava Halvorsen (21:59.4). JM placed second (44) and Mayo finished third (63).

Seniors Katarina Larsen (22:08.8) and Geneva Cheney (22:09.1) finished eighth and ninth, respectively, to pace the Spartans.

On the boys side, JM junior Jaden Anderson gave the Rockets a clean sweep as he was the only runner to finish under 17-minutes with a stellar 16:32.4 to place first. He was one of four Rockets to finish in the top five.

Senior Maxwell Nguyen placed third (17:08.2), junior Aidan Feda placed fourth (17:17.6) and freshman Layton Mathis (17:19.
