ABC has announced that Mark Anderson, father of Kelsey Anderson , who has previously shown interest in joining the Golden Bachelor cast , will be among the 20 men competing for Joan Vassos' heart on the inaugural season of The Golden Bachelorette. Mark gained popularity during his daughter's hometown date on Joey Graziadei's season of The Bachelor , where Kelsey spoke about her father's care for her late mother, following Kelsey's decision to only adopt kids in the future . "I did not predict it, but it makes so much sense to me," Kelsey told ET about her father's newfound fame, following images of her, and fiance, Joey Graziadei, going viral .

She's also a widow," Kelsey told ET . Joan, whose husband of 32 years, John, died in 2021, expressed interest in Mark joining her season. "I think he was a really sweet man.
He was handsome. He was a family kind of guy. He lost his spouse.
I think we have a lot in common," Joan told ET. "I don't doubt that we could have maybe a little spark. I'm hoping so.
I'm going to be happy if he steps out of the limousine.
