Union minister Anurag Thakur RANCHI/NEW DELHI: Former Union minister and MP from Hamirpur, Anurag Thakur , on Thursday said the JMM-Congress-RJD govt have fostered “love jihad” and “land jihad”, thereby altering the demographic and land balance in Jharkhand. Thakur said the people of Jharkhand are voting for change this time around, as the state has seen more “jihad welfare” than public welfare, and only BJP stands committed to safeguarding Jharkhand’s interests. “Congress has stooped so low that under Rahul Gandhi’s influence, Jharkhand Congress in-charge Gulam Ahmed Mir has promised gas cylinders at Rs 450 to infiltrators,” Thakur told reporters.
This, according to Thakur, reflects Congress’s policy of appeasement, which undermines the rights of tribals and Jharkhand’s residents. He accused the state govt of looting water, forests, and land, altering demographics, and ignoring the tribal rights , with all this happening under the nose of CM Hemant Soren. He further hit out at the govt for its failures, pointing out rampant corruption, unemployment, lawlessness, and neglect of tribal welfare.
Thakur cited instances like the seizure of over Rs 350 crore from Congress MP Dheeraj Sahu’s premises by the income tax department as evidence of corruption. He slammed the govt for not fulfilling promises on jobs, unemployment benefits, pensions for women, and gold coins for newlyweds, saying all the vows were forgotten once the alliance was voted to office.
