Wednesday, January 22, 2025 Jharkhand to revolutionize tourism with tribal heritage corridors, mining adventures, and scenic wonders, making a global impact at FITUR in Madrid, Spain. To showcase and preserve tribal culture, Jharkhand is gearing up to establish a ‘Tribal Tourism Corridor’ within the state. The inaugural corridor will span from Arki in Tamar to Ulihatu in Khunti, the birthplace of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, offering tourists an enriching cultural experience.
The tribal corridor initiative focuses on enhancing infrastructure and connectivity in tribal regions, facilitating the development of tourism, rail, and highway projects. Additionally, Jharkhand plans to spotlight mining tourism, granting visitors the unique opportunity to witness open-cast mining operations up close. A religious tourism circuit is also under development, featuring rest points every 25 kilometers equipped with essential amenities and food services.
Facilities are being built at forested areas, waterfalls, and other scenic attractions to boost the state’s tourism potential. Plans are underway to construct glass bridges at key tourist destinations, including Dasham Falls, Jonha Falls, Magnolia Point in Netarhat, and a Selfie Point at Patratu Valley, further enhancing the visitor experience. In a bid to promote tourism and explore global opportunities, a delegation of officials departed for Spain via Delhi on Monday.
