On Tuesday, October 1st, Jet Aviation, a company owned by General Dynamics, announced that it redelivered two Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) 737 MAX 8s to a customer. These converted narrowbody aircraft underwent an interior refitting. The refitting of the interiors of these aircraft only took ten months, which is the shortest downtime that Jet Aviation has accomplished for two similar aircraft at the same time.

New interior fitting for large business jets Jet Aviation operates a large completions center near its headquarters in Basel, Switzerland. This large facility provides customers with completely upgraded interiors for a wide variety of aircraft, mostly large corporate jets . The completion center also has in-house and on-site capabilities for the entirety of the completion process.

This includes the design, engineering, production, installation, and certification that is required to complete the interior and finish an aircraft. Most recently, Jet Aviation took advantage of its extensive completions capabilities for two new BBJ 737 MAX 8s . These aircraft were retrofitted with new interiors, certified, and then redelivered to the customer.

Both of these aircraft had similar interiors and the customer receiving both of the aircraft was not disclosed.
