Jermaine Jenas paid a gushing tribute to his wife just weeks before his texting scandal broke as he admits cheating. The 41-year-old has been sacked from his BBC job after it was revealed concerns had been raised of misconduct. It has been reported that he had been texting two female colleagues.

However, it was in May that Jermaine shared a gushing post about his wife of 13 years Ellie Penfold. He posted a series of photos while on holiday with their children, as he wrote: "Happy birthday Mrs j I love you..

. we love you more than you could ever imagine..

you deserve the world x." The married couple share three children together, two daughters Geneva and Olivia and a son called Jacob. Meanwhile, Jenas has an older daughter, Sancha, from a previous relationship who lives in the United States with her mother.

It was revealed on Thursday that a female One Show colleague raised concerns after Jenas allegedly sent her unsolicited flirty texts. Other women are now said to have come forward saying that the former footballer sent them texts too. Jenas has said he has instructed lawyers after being sacked.

He will now have lost his £190,000- £194,999 annual salary for his work on the FA Cup , Match Of The Day and the World Cup. It is not known what he earns for working on The One Show. Speaking a day after his texting scandal, Jermaine denied sending any explicit pictures or videos.

He said: "I am ashamed, and I am deeply sorry. I have let myself down, my family, friends and colleagu.
