A video of Jermaine Jenas speaking about "securing the coin" has attracted attention on social media this week amid the news that the presenter has been sacked by the BBC . It was announced on Thursday that Jermaine, 41 - known for presenting the likes of the One Show and Match of the Day - had been 'sacked' by the BBC following allegations of "inappropriate behaviour". The former footballer's departure has been attributed to "workplace conduct," with it reported that digital communications, such as texts, were raised with the corporation a few weeks ago.

Jermaine has said that there are "two sides to every story" and that he's letting his lawyers "deal with it". Amid the news, a video, said to have been shared by him last year, has gone viral on social media. It's been reposted several times this week, with one tweet of it having 4 million views alone.

The video shows Jermaine sat in a garden and he says: "There's times when you've been out all week busy, working hard, securing the coin." He repeatedly says "coin" as he looks up towards the sky before adding: "Only certain man know what I'm talking about when it comes to securing the coin. But you just feel like you've earnt it, you feel like you deserve it.

" He's then seen taking a sip of a drink and says: "Go on then, go on." He adds: "Lovely drop that, lovely drop." The video concludes with Jermaine turning the camera to show a dog.

As reported by the Daily Mail , the clip was originally posted on his Instagram story in F.
