Jermaine Jenas has revealed he attended couples therapy with his wife Ellie after having a series of explosive rows. The former football player-turned-presenter has found himself at the centre of a text scandal following reports he was sacked by the BBC. Jenas, who is known for presenting the likes of Match of the Day and The One Show, has been accused o inappropriate behaviour.

In a statement to Mirror Online yesterday, a BBC spokesperson said: “We can confirm that he is no longer part of our presenting lineup.” Jenas has since broken his silence on the claims and insisted he has done nothing illegal but apologised if he made the women he had messaged feel uncomfortable. The former footballer player said he was now trying to claw back his relationship with his wife Ellie, who he married in 2011.

He said they have "not really spoken" since the news broke and that Ellie is "absolutely raging". However, it seems the couple have had tension for a while as Jermaine revealed their struggles last year. He admitted spending time working on The Own Show was hard for their marriage as he would socialise with his colleagues while Ellie stayed at home.

"It was all glitzy, but for my wife, it was like nappies, milk," he told the Sun. "I am a very hands-on dad and I'm always trying to help but, still, she wasn't getting that fulfilment in her own life." He revealed the couple decided to seek help and said: "It was for marriage stuff really.

We've done some work together in the past. B.
