The latest instalment of Jeremy Vine experienced a minor hiccup as the show was temporarily pulled off air. Wednesday's edition (September 25) of the Channel 5 programme kicked off at its usual time of 09:15 am, however an issue was raised just over one hour later. Taking to social media, one viewer shared an image of their black TV screen which featured part of a ticking clock.

Alongside the image, they wrote: "The best bit of the @JeremyVineOn5 show so far," followed by a thumbs up emoji. Questioning whether the hitch was simply down to the latest adverts, the official Jeremy Vine & Storm Huntley on 5 X account responded: "Thanks for flagging Kevin. Was it just the last ad break?" The viewer responded by claiming the show hadn't gone to a break when the black screen appeared.

Hoping to quickly fix the issue, the Channel 5 account replied: "Much obliged Kevin. Have a nice day. We're on the case.

" The problem appeared to be temporary as the show returned to screens as normal shortly after. During the episode, Cristo Foufas publicly called out Keir Starmer after he mistakenly referred to the Israeli "hostages" taken by Hamas as "sausages" in his first conference speech as Prime Minister. Mr Starmer was speaking at the Labour Conference in Liverpool when he made the jaw-dropping mistake.
