Jeremy Clarkson is siding with Taylor Swift in her private jet battle with Chris Packham. The British wildlife expert has had plenty to say after the singing superstar reportedly racked up almost 200,000 miles on her two planes last year. Taylor is back after taking a breather as she resumed her sold-out Eras tour and earlier this summer the campaigning TV star Chris urged the pop icon to ­reconsider her "absurd" private jet use.

Top Gear great Jeremy claims Chris is pretty much "bullying" the 34-year-old and says it's wild to suggest she can use a standard plane to get to her gigs across the globe. He went on to say that his comments demonstrate a lack of understanding for the real world and asked if he thinks she should just hop on a Ryanair flight. "What Mr Packham is doing by kind of ordering her to fly with the masses is tantamount to bullying," he wrote in his column in The Sun .

"Because she can’t. He has no knowledge of what it’s like to be properly famous. So famous that you are physically mobbed by a braying hoard wherever you are in the world.

" The Springwatch host spoke to the Mirror after the singer reportedly racked up 178,000 miles on her two planes last year and was outraged after she sent a cease and desist letter to Jack Sweeney, the creator of social media accounts that logged the take-offs and landings of her jets, one of which she has now sold. He said: "We know that private jets are the single greatest contributor when it comes to jet aviation fuel .
