The power couple were initially engaged to be married in the early 2000s but parted ways before ever tying the knot. Lopez instead married singer Marc Anthony and was briefly engaged to baseball slugger Alex Rodriguez, while Affleck married actress Jennifer Garner. But Lopez and Affleck were both back on the market in 2021 when they rekindled their relationship.

Documents submitted in Los Angeles Superior Court and obtained by TMZ indicated that Lopez filed the petition without an attorney, and with no indication of a prenuptial agreement. The marriage was the fourth for Lopez, 55, and the second for Affleck, 52. According to court papers, the couple officially separated on April 26, TMZ reported.
