Tuesday, September 10, 2024 Jeju Air, South Korea’s largest low-cost carrier, is set to expand its international flight network with the introduction of a new route connecting Busan in South Korea to Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia. Starting from October 27, 2024, Jeju Air will operate six weekly flights on this route during the Northern winter 2024/2025 season. This new service aims to meet the growing demand for travel between these two popular destinations, offering travelers a more convenient and direct option for exploring both regions.

The Busan–Kota Kinabalu route will be served by Boeing 737-800 aircraft, a narrow-body airliner that can accommodate 189 passengers in a single-class configuration. Jeju Air’s schedule for the new route will offer six flights per week, except on Tuesdays, providing flexibility for both leisure and business travelers. This schedule ensures that passengers can make the most of their travel time, with overnight flights allowing for a full day upon arrival in either city.

This new route is part of Jeju Air’s broader strategy to expand its international services and strengthen its presence in Southeast Asia .
