JAY-Z is not quite done with his 40/40 Club . Despite reports of closure in 2023, JAY is looking to revive the legendary nightlife spot in New York City and is planning on reopening the spot in 2025 in a different location. Since opening 20 years ago, the club has had a chokehold on the city’s nightlife, becoming a cultural landmark in Manhattan.

At Fanatics Fest last week, celebrities caught a glimpse of what the new 40/40 Club will look like and what to expect from the newly updated lounge. JAY hopes to add a live sports betting component to the club and gave audiences a look into what the new version of 40/40 will be. Hosted in collaboration with Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin , JAY held a pop-up of the 40/40 Club where sports legends and celebrities like Tom Brady, Quavo, Travis Scott, Carmelo Anthony and more came together at the Javits Center.

At 40/40, guests will have the opportunity to place live bets while watching sporting events at the venue and is set to incorporate Fanatics Sportsbook. US Weekly spoke to 40/40 Club vice president of operations Sheldon Robinson who said, “It’s always been the plan to open a new spot. Finding the right location that makes sense to the brand is key, and that takes some time.

We’ve narrowed it down to our last few choices and now we’re in the negotiation phase.” He added, “Hopefully by the end of this year we’ll have a lease signed and we can break ground. The idea is that we’ll have a club in 2025.
