Online scammers are taking advantage of Jay Slater's funeral, the charity assisting his family has warned. A number of accounts are offering people access to a non-existent live stream of the funeral - which will be held on Saturday - in return for money, likes and follows. Jay, 19, who was from Oswaldtwistle in Lancashire, vanished on June 17 while on holiday in Tenerife with friends.

After a night out, he travelled to an Airbnb in the remote village of Masca where two men he had met were staying. The apprentice bricklayer was last seen "walking away fast" out of the village as he attempted to head back to his holiday accommodation in the south of the island. His last known contact with his friends was a call at 8.
