Christopher “Mad Dog” Russo has of for the time being. Since hanging up the cleats following a decorated 13-year career back in March, Kelce has dipped his toes into the world of media. The 36-year-old’s weekly appearances on “Monday Night Countdown” have thus far drawn mixed reviews - and Russo, for one, is not a fan.
On Wednesday’s episode of ‘First Take,’ Russo shared his disdain for the ‘New Heights’ podcast, which is co-hosted by Jason and his brother, tight end . The 64-year-old then turned his attention to the former role on ‘MNC,’ conceding that his bosses at will likely not like what he’s about to say. “They’re gonna get mad at me,” he began.
“I’m gonna say it anyway because I feel like it. I’m in one of those moods. I think we’ve all seen plenty of Jason Kelce in the last few weeks, would you agree?” The comment came as a bit of a surprise to Russo’s co-hosts, considering he and Kelce work under the same roof for the “Worldwide Leader in Sports.
” Molly Qerim and Jeff Saturday promptly attempted to put out the PR fire by clapping back at the remark. “I like Jason Kelce a great deal,” later chimed in - an answer that was not satisfactory for Russo. “Yes or no?” he shouted from across the table in reference to whether the ESPN personality believes Kelce is overshown.
“Yes or no?! They put him in the booth in the Philadelphia game against Atlanta! Yes or no?!” Smith made sure not to fall into Russo’s trap, ho.
