Jane Mary Fisher (72) of Chesterfield, passed away on August 23, 2024 at Capital Health Regional Medical Center. Daughter of Betty and the late Joseph Pownall III, Jane was born on July 4, 1952 in Trenton, NJ. Jane was raised in Yardville before purchasing her first home in Mercerville, finally settling and building her dream home in Chesterfield, NJ.

Jane attended St. Francis Medical Center School of Nursing in Trenton and worked as an OR nurse for over 43 years at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton. In 1981, she married her beloved husband Bob and the two had 34 happy years together until Bob’s passing in 2015.

She enjoyed traveling all over the world with her family, especially trips to the Bahamas. She also liked spending time in Lancaster, PA and day trips to the Seaside Boardwalk. She loved reading and cross stitch, and made her children and grandchildren beautiful handmade Christmas ornaments every year.

Just like her personality, Jane loved glitter and anything that sparkled. Jane was devoted to her Christian faith and was a very active member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Mount Holly, singing in the choir and a member of the Episcopal Church Woman (ECW.

) Above all, she was very dedicated to her children and grandchildren. Known to her grandchildren as Nana, she was very active in their lives and enjoyed things like going to six flags, taking vacations and day trips with her family. She was a devoted daughter and went to dinner with her moth.
