Who would have thought that in a changing NFL landscape, the old-fashioned under-center looks would have such an important impact on the league today? The Philadelphia Eagles are learning that well. Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports After going in the shotgun for most of the time in the first four games of the season, the Eagles opted for a more traditional under-center approach in their last few games. It could certainly be the reason the Eagles are not only on a three-game winning streak but are also looking the best they have on offense.
“I think it does a lot,” quarterback Jalen Hurts said. “I think we’re able to be the imposers. I think that says a lot about what you are offensively.
" In the last two games alone, the Eagles have gone undercenter a whopping 35 times. It shouldn't be a surprise that they have put forth two of the most dominating wins in recent years as well. “There are multiple ways to impose," Hurts explained.
"You can do that from a gun. You can do that in the pass game. You can do that in the run game, in the action game — whatever it is — as long as you’re in full control.
So I think that’s more so mentality that we’re trying to develop and push. It’s about what we do, not about what anyone else does." Related: Eagles Rookies Turning Heads vs.
