This October, Jakarta will become the hub for travel professionals from around the globe as it hosts the Wonderful Indonesia Tourism Fair (WITF), the nation’s first-ever business-to-business (B2B) tourism event. Scheduled from October 2 to 4, 2024, this landmark event will take place at the Swissotel Jakarta PIK Avenue, a prime location in the Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) area, which is rapidly emerging as a prominent urban tourist hotspot.
The choice of Swissotel Jakarta PIK Avenue is strategic due to its convenient location within PIK, which is known for its easy access to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. PIK is also a vibrant area, rich with a variety of businesses, entertainment venues, and event facilities, making it an ideal venue for hosting such a significant tourism event. WITF will coincide with the Southeast Asia Business Event Forum (SEABEFF), which will focus on the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) sector.
This parallel event highlights Jakarta’s role as a key player in promoting business tourism and showcases its capacity to host large-scale international events.
