A content creator has shared the heart-stopping moment she woke up after a night out in Paris with $5000 missing from her bank account. Perth-based influencer Jacquie Alexander posted a TikTok on Friday recounting the scary ordeal with the caption, “⚠️ please don’t be like me when travelling #parisscam”. She said the ill-fated night out with friends began at a rooftop bar and started out with a good feeling.

“There’s a guy standing next to us and everyone (who worked) at the bar knew who he was.” Jacquie said the workers then encouraged the group to go to the man’s club and the friends took the man’s business card. Later in the night, the group decided to head to the club where they were waived the entrance fee and went straight through.

The night took a turn, however, when one of Jacquie’s friends was pulled up on their outfit for being against the dress code. The club owner suggested the friend buy pants to replace their shorts from a store “conveniently” inside the club. “The clothes were not cheap — the pants were like $400 AUD.

” The group were under the impression they wouldn’t have to pay for anything other than the pants so they didn’t let the costly mistake ruin their night. “I am well aware that this is seriously stupid,” Jacquie said while she berated herself for trusting a stranger. “Coming from Australia we just trust people and would never think someone would do something like that.
