Like a lot of make-up wearers, I'm fussy about my mascara. I want it all – length, lift, volume, definition with no clumping or smudging throughout the day – and I find that very few live up to the task. One of my all-time favourites – and one that I rebuy over and over again – is Gucci's Mascara L'Obscur .

With a barrel-shaped silicone brush and (in my opinion) the perfect formula, it just makes my lashes look amazing, and seems to even get better the longer it's been open. At £31 though, it's one of the pricier mascaras on the market – but I think I've found a great alternative for a fraction of the price.
