Good Morning Britain has been hit with a further 8,000 Ofcom complaints - on top of the original 8,000 they received last week. Host Ed Balls clashed with Zarah Sultana, the MP for Coventry South, who she accused of using "sneering contempt" to interview her as they spoke about far-right violence across the UK. Following the interview, Zarah took to social media, where she wrote: "The sneering contempt of ‘journalists’ will never stop me from calling out racism and Islamophobic hate.

" During the interview, Kate Garraway tried to take control of the interview and she stepped in where she told Ms Sultana: "We have to ask you questions as well," before Ed added: "And if you want to, you can answer them – it’s your call." It led to a continued clash between Ed and Ms Sultana, who said: "I’m going to wait for Kate to finish her question if that’s alright," and it wasn't long before Ed hit back to add: "If you want to answer the questions, you can but you don’t have to." Kate later asked the MP: "Why is it important for you to use that specific word ‘Islamophobic’? It’s been called racist, it’s been called thuggery," before Ed interrupted to say: "They definitely said racist over the weekend.

" When Ed said he was unsure whether the Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer or Home Secretary Yvette Cooper - who is Ed's wife - had used the word "Islamophobia", she said they hadn't. If you can't see the poll, click here Trying to answer Kate's question, Ms Sultana commente.
