Love Island star Joey Essex is set for an awkward reunion with two exes in upcoming episodes. On Friday night's episode, the villa received a shock text, which read: "Islanders, tonight each couple must vote for the two couples who they think are least compatible, those who receive a vote risk being dumped from the Island. You must now discuss in your couples who you’re going to choose and then submit your decision by text.
You must not discuss your decision with anyone else." It was a tough decision for the Islanders and at the end of the episode, narrator Iain Stirling revealed: "Joey and Jessy, Ayo and Jess, Sean and Matilda, and Josh and Mimii are all at risk of being dumped." However, in an explosive twist at the end of the episode, it was revealed that all of the past Islanders would be returning to the villa.
In a dramatic first look, it saw the 2024 dumped Islanders walking into the villa as Iain teased: "Guess who's back with a big decision...
" Two of those Islanders include two of Joey's exes - Samantha Kenny and Grace Jackson. Viewers will recall that Joey and model Grace, who are thought to have previously dated for around a year after meeting in Ibiza, couldn’t keep their hands off each other as they were reunited earlier in the series, firmly rekindling their romance. As the two reunited, it meant Joey's former partner in the villa, Samantha, was brutally dumped from the show.
However, it wasn't meant to be as the duo soon found themselves in a love triangle.
