Good Morning Britain hosts Ranvir Singh and Adil Ray had to step in to halt a fiery debate between guests Cristo Foufas and Sarah Tetteh about Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury. The pair clashed over whether the Love Island duo's breakup could be likened to that of Charles and Diana, following Trisha Goddard's earlier comparison on the popular ITV programme. As tensions escalated into a full-blown shouting match, the presenters intervened, cutting the segment short, the Express reports.
Andi Peters, from the Lorraine studio, commented on the heated exchange: "I think I can still hear them going at it." During the discussion, Sarah remarked: "When the news broke of their split, the agenda changed. They actually knocked Harry and Meghan's tour in Colombia off the top spot.
" TalkTV presenter Cristo retorted with a critical view on modern priorities: "Which sums up everything that is wrong in modern day society, the fact that it was breaking news, it was on every news channel." Sarah later argued for the couple's widespread popularity: "Molly and Tommy have global appeal," to which Cristo sharply replied: "Oh that is absolutely nonsense, you really think the kinds of crowds that turned out in Australia or America for Charles and Diana would turn out for Tommy and Molly?". A GMB poll indicated a mere 3% of viewers sided with Sarah in seeing Molly and Tommy as a modern-day Charles and Diana.
