Issa Rae isn't slowing down anytime soon. After Rae's HBO hit "Insecure" ended with its fifth and final season back in 2021, fans of the show (and its creator) were left wondering where they'd get their next dose of the actress and writer's hilariously unique and self-embracing comedy style. Fortunately, Rae has managed to calm their fears with a slew of new projects that translate her talents from the small screen to the silver screen, behind the camera, and beyond.
Her latest production endeavors include the HBO series "Rap Sh!t" and the highly anticipated buddy comedy starring Sza and Keke Palmer, "One of Them Days," which is due out in January 2025. Rae also took the world by storm last summer on a global promotional tour of "Barbie" — in which Rae played the president of Barbieland (because, of course) — and in collaboration with Tubi, just launched 'Stubios,' a new pipeline program that's designed to help aspiring filmmakers get their projects funded and in front of audiences.
