Ahead of World Heart Day on September 29, the Ismaili Civic, part of the Agha Khan Development Network, organized a health amp offering free medical screening to over 530 underprivileged persons, including construction workers and their children. A team of 21 doctors, including a general practitioner, nephrologist, gynecologist, orthopedic, and pediatrician, from the Ismaili Shia Muslim community was present at the camp. The event was supported by the Kompally GHMC health and sanitation department.
Suresh Krishna Prasad, who regularly migrates for work, said, " The camp provided invaluable guidance from specialists and much-needed nutrient supplements.".
