Irini Kollias was born May 8, 1942 and had lived in Romania and Greece before emigrating to the United States in 1956. She graduated from Lorain High School and was known for her warmth and kindness to all. She was a cherished member of St.

Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and was actively involved in the choir where her beautiful voice and love for her faith touched many lives. Irini was called back to God on August 9, 2024, at the age of 82.Irini was the loving wife of Demetrios Kollias and the devoted mother of Angela Poulos and her husband Andrew, George Kollias and his wife Alison, Maryan Reynolds and her husband Steve.

Her memory will be lovingly cherished by her grandchildren: Marissa Poulos, Jenna Poulos, Anelise Kollias, Lauren Kollias, Isabella Reynolds, and Nicholas Reynolds. She is also survived by her sister, Ariandi (Elias) Phillipidis and her nieces Evangelia (Robert) James and Aspasia (Steve, deceased) Knox. lrini was preceded in death by her parents, George and Evangelia (nee Castis) Alifantis.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 14th at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects beginning at 10:00 a.

m., followed by the memorial service at 11 :00 a.m.

Interment will follow the service at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp. The church is located at 2000 Tower Boulevard, Lorain, Ohio.In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to St.
