At 4.30am actor Scott Suter has already donned his waistcoat and boots. The rugged and pierced eccentric strolls from his home in Cardiff Bay to the Parkgate Hotel in the city centre where he’s developed a bit of a name for himself with the guests.
He gets in for a 5.30am start before “putting the finishing touches” together ahead of the breakfast rush - after which he sits down for a chat. “My two worlds have sort of collided here in a lovely way,” Scott, who is about to fly out to Finland for his next acting gig, says from a table in the hotel’s impeccable, dimly-lit restaurant where hundreds of celebrities have dined despite the former post office having opened as a hotel only three years ago.
“It’s a bit of a performance here really - but I’m always myself. They wanted me to be myself and bring my own personality to it. That’s why I really love it here.
