Spooky season is well and truly upon us. Walk down Market Street in the City Centre and you'll spot trees adorned with bright orange pumpkins - the same vibrant hue as the colour of the leaves on the branches. Meanwhile, restaurants, bars and cafes have brought out the decorations for the festivities with windows covered in creepy cobwebs and a few skeletons knocking about.

Houses across Greater Manchester have also had a terrifying makeover as October 31 quickly rolls around. And as the nights draw in, the big coats are brought back out of the wardrobe and we all start to look for somewhere to escape the autumnal weather, there's a few things that might just tempt us outside. As it customary at this time of year, a festive light show can be a good way to celebrate the seasons changing - and also keep the kids occupied during the half term break.

And while there's plenty of Christmas-inspired trails to book now, there's a brand new light trail over at the Trafford Centre to visit over the next few weeks. The creators of have unveiled the new Halloween Trail - a 'spooktacular' Halloween-themed light show. Running from Thursday, 17 October until Sunday, 3 November, the immersive experience promises to 'captivate visitors of all ages this spooky season'.

The new trail features over 100,000 lights, and is filled with immersive installations that centre around a Skeleton Village theme. We checked out the the new light trail on opening night, so here's a bit of an idea of what to e.
