An inquest has opened into the tragic death of a teenager from Lincolnshire after her body was found at her family home in July. Kibi Wade (Barrett), 16, was found dead at home in Caistor on Wednesday, July 24, and her family believe she took her own life. She has been described as a "bubbly and silly" daughter who "always had a smile on her face".

Kibi left behind devoted mum Michelle Barrett, step mum Michelle Gardener, sisters Julia, Tia and Nyah, brothers Bray and Reuben, and many friends who knew and loved her. Senior Coroner for Greater Lincolnshire, Paul Smith, opened the inquest into her death on Tuesday, August 20, at the coroner's court in Lincoln . Mr Smith told the short hearing that Kibi's medical cause of death remains yet to be determined due to outstanding test results.
