Jind: Surender Lather , alliance candidate of the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), has taken an unconventional approach in his campaign for the Julana assembly seat by submitting the voters an affidavit on a Rs 100 stamp paper, detailing four major development promises . Lather, a former excise and taxation commissioner, has pledged to created 25,000 jobs, find drinking water solution for all 72 villages of the seat, build a farmer-labourer centre in Julana and Jind, and allocate Rs 55 crore for each of the 200 booths from Haryana’s budget for local development in consultation with the public. He also vowed to resign if he failed to fulfil these promises.
