Pune: AeroMall authorities have urged customers to inform them about parking their vehicles for two or more days at its parking lot to avoid confusion, as the space has seen a significant rise in the number of vehicles. "Until last year, only about four to five vehicles on average would be parked for two days or more. Now, the number has gone up to around 35.

Most of these vehicles belong to flyers who park them and then board their flights," Y S Rajput, the vice-president of the facility," told TOI. According to Rajput, last month, a flyer parking his vehicle in the space for five days had raised suspicion. "The security informed the management, who in turn informed the police.

However, the matter de-escalated as the flyer returned and took his vehicle. We are not planning to disallow vehicles intended to be parked for long durations, but those people must inform us to avoid confusion," he added. A customer has to pay Rs315 to park a vehicle in the facility for 10-24 hours.

On the second day, AeroMall charges a fee of Rs210. For two-wheelers, the parking charge for up to 24 hours is Rs90, while an additional Rs40 is charged for the second day. Rajput pointed out that the facility charges are much lesser than other airports, including Delhi airport, which levies Rs600 for 24 hours and Mumbai airport, which charges Rs1,000 as a day's parking charges.

"We will check if people who have no parking space are using the facility. If the need arises, we will talk to the Airports Auth.
