The cast of Khel Khel Mein, including Taapsee Pannu, Fardeen Khan, Ammy Virk, Aditya Seal, and Pragya Jaiswal launched the film's first song titled Hauli Hauli on Thursday, July 25. Multiple influencers were also invited at the film for the promotions and Taapsee was seen denying a selfie to an influencer named Ananya Dwivedi at the event. Taapsee and Ananya's video was shared on the Instagram page called Bollywood Pap.

Reacting to the clip, the influencer slammed the actress saying she "needs better PR training" as she wrote in the comments section, "That’s me. And I don’t understand why would someone deny a selfie when you’re already surrounded by cameras and the only reason influencers like me were called is to promote HER song! She really needs a better PR training." Before the post was deleted from Instagram a few hours later, a screenshot from the video and Ananya's comment were shared on Reddit sub BollyBlindsNGossip.

The netizens on Reddit defended Taapsee Pannu as they agreed that Taapsee holds the power to decide if she wants to deny a selfie. One of them wrote, "Please stop dehumanising celebrities like this. She can deny a selfie if she wants too", while another added, "Taapsee didn’t do anything wrong, she has no obligation to give a selfie, plus there are cameras right there for them to take a proper picture.

" "This madam was respectfully denied a selfie by Tapsee and is still ranting about it. Nobody owes selfies to the audience", read another comment. .
